Capacity Development Services
TANGO strongly supports institutional capacity strengthening as key to achieving sustained impact – both in terms of our own long-term goals and those of our partners. As a partner with the USAID REAL Award, TANGO has provided resources and webinars on various aspects of resilience measurement. Previously, through USAID TOPS, TANGO conducted resilience M&E workshops in Washington, DC (2017), Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Kenya, Philippines (2016), and Senegal (2015). We have leveraged our expertise in Theory of Change by providing training workshops for USAID Food for Peace implementing partners and other NGO staff engaged in food security program design (2016-2017). We have contributed to numerous workshops and Training-of-Trainers, including workshops on qualitative sampling and analysis and on improving the analysis and narrative for Annual Results Reports, along with periodic and on-going consultations with implementing partners to address questions regarding resilience M&E. Other capacity development activities include Training-of-Trainer workshops on livelihoods programming and on M&E systems for NGOs. Finally, we regularly assess capacity building efforts as a component of program evaluations if a desired outcome of the program is strengthened capacity of staff or partners.
