Food and nutrition security expertise
The design, evaluation, and impact assessment of food and nutrition security programs are fundamental components of TANGO’s portfolio. TANGO regularly conducts mixed-method impact evaluations of development, emergency, and protracted crisis programs. We also work on a continuous basis with United Nations, US Government, European, and NGO partners on developing and evaluating food security information monitoring systems.

- Conducted 13 operation evaluations for World Food Program under a long-term agreement, all of which included assessment of food security and nutrition activities (2013-2017).
- Conducted the baseline, mid-term, and final evaluations for the CARE WE-RISE programs, which support increased production and empowerment of poor women farmers in six countries (2012-2016). See the final report here.
- Organized and implemented baseline surveys in eight countries with over 18,000 participants as part of USAID’s Feed the Future FEEDBACK program (2012-2013).
- Evaluated numerous large-scale Title II food security programs and conducted many Title II design workshops that resulted in successful proposals.
